In this video, I analyse "The Parable of the Sower" by Octavia E. Butler published in 1993. In her science-fiction book, she depicts what Los Angeles (and the USA) looks like in 2024. Although the dystopian world described by the author is not real, I draw some strong parallels between our current reality and the fictional world in the book.
